Tres Reyes Vagos

Para iniciar este 2010, les comparto una muestra de una serie de fotografias de un proyecto personal, donde busco hacer fotos solo por diversion, pero ademas plasmar algunas ideas, criticas, y protestas hacia la sociedad. To start off this 2010, here’s a sample of a personal project I’m working on. The idea is to make photos just for fun from crazy ideas that come to my mind, but that have a critique side to the society. Feel free to comment and leave your thoughts. Michelle Art Reference

Hace poco vi una ilustracion que me llamo mucho la atencion, ya que parecia que era basada en una persona que conozco. Nos dimos a la tarea de hacer una referencia a esta ilustracion pero hecha en base a una fotografia. Les comparto la imagen que obtuvimos en base a una buen styling, iluminacion y un poco de photoshop.

A few weeks ago I saw an illustration that reminded me of someone I know. Remembering our Art Reference Class from HIP, here’s the representation I got made from a photograph.

Luca Christmas Cards

Cuando estuve estudiando fotografia en Hallmark Institute of Photography tuvimos algunas clases donde nos enseñaron a fotografiar mascotas, las cuales fueron muy utiles para lograr hacer estas postales navideñas a beneficio de Fundacion Luca. Aqui les dejo una muestra de lo que hicimos. Tuvo tanto el exito y aceptacion de la gente, que nos pidieron regresar a hacer otra sesion. Fue muy gratificante conocer a toda la gente que participo y nos conto sus historias. Les deseamos a todos ellos y a ustedes una Feliz Navidad.

We had some pet photography assigments at Hallmark Institute of Photography which proved to be very useful in these portrait sessions. We did free session as fundraiser for Fundacion Luca, a non profit organization. Here’s a sample of what we got. People loved the first session and asked us to come back for a second day. It was amazing meeting all the people that came in and hear their stories. We wish all of them and you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Joanna + Alex Iconoclasta!

Hace poco hicimos la sesion informal de Joanna y Alex, que se casan en febrero 2010. Una pareja muy prendida, nos aventamos a hacer esta sesion el mismo dia que fue el matromio civil, ya que Alex trabaja y vive en Santa Cruz, California. Logramos mucha variedad y buenas tomas, he aqui algunas de mis favoritas.

Here’s Joanna and Alex on their engagement session. A couple full of energy and good vibe, we did this photos the same day of their civil ceremony, as Alex works and live in Santa Cruz, California. The religious wedding and reception will take place on February 2010. Here are some of my fav shots of the day.
