Hace poco hicimos la sesion informal de Joanna y Alex, que se casan en febrero 2010. Una pareja muy prendida, nos aventamos a hacer esta sesion el mismo dia que fue el matromio civil, ya que Alex trabaja y vive en Santa Cruz, California. Logramos mucha variedad y buenas tomas, he aqui algunas de mis favoritas.

Here’s Joanna and Alex on their engagement session. A couple full of energy and good vibe, we did this photos the same day of their civil ceremony, as Alex works and live in Santa Cruz, California. The religious wedding and reception will take place on February 2010. Here are some of my fav shots of the day.

Ellos son Mariam y Juan Carlos, los ganadores del concurso “Love is in the Pic”, que mas bien se tranformo en “Love & Movies in the Pic”. Esta increbile pareja de novios son super fanaticos del cine. Asi que despues de platicar con ellos antes de su sesion, juntos decidimos no recrear escenas de peliculas conocidas, sino mas bien registrarlos como si estuvieran en diferentes “stills” de sus propias peliculas de diferentes generos desde la comedia romantica hasta peliculas de ciencia ficcion. Fue una experiencia muy divertida, ya que a pesar de no ser actores profesionales entraron en sus papeles sin ninguna dificultad y logramos captar muchas emociones. Gracias a M+JC por su apoyo, ideas y participacion en esta aventura.

Here’s Mariam and Juan Carlos, the “Love is in the Pic” contest winners, which actually evolved into “Love & Movies in the Pic”. They are an amazing couple and total movie lovers. Instead of reacting famous scenes from movies, we decided to make their on movie stills of them, bringing out different emotions and film types from romantic comedy to sci fi. It was a unique and fun experience, as they are not real actors, they had no trouble getting all the feeling on the scenes. Thanks to M+JC for their support, ideas and involvement in this adveture.

Rocio + Aldo Iconoclasta!

El domingo por la tarde hicimos la sesion informal de Rocio y Aldo. Comenzaron un poco nerviosos pero como suele suceder despues de las primeras fotos comenzaron a relajarse y disfrutar de una tarde llena de puro sentimiento. Como siempre los imprevistos se dejaron venir ya que las locaciones que tenian planeadas no dejaban tomar fotos, asi que improvisamos aprovechando espacios cerca de ahi, con muy buenos resultados.

Sunday afternoon we had the engagement session of Rocio and Aldo. Like most of the session the couple started out a little nervous, but quickly relaxed and enjoyed the afternoon. We had to improvise on the locations as the ones they had planned couldn’t be used for photos, but we walked around the area finding some other great spots.

Moe + Flow Iconoclasta!

Y asi es como comienza esto, Moe y Flow es una pareja muy intensa y divertida, les gusta vivir sin limites, asi que sin agenda establecida nos lanzamos a la aventura de hacer su sesion informal. Sin locaciones definidas, sin permisos pedidos, sin formalidades marcadas, solo ellos posando con mucha maestria y yo tirando fotografias. Es como aqui simplemente termina, nos vemos el sabado en su boda. Disfruten las imagenes.

This is how it started, Moe and Flow is a very intense and fun couple, they live with no limits, so with no planned agenda we started their engagement session. There was no scouted locations, no permits, no formalities, just them posing and me shooting. This is how it ends, we’ll see you saturday on their wedding. Enjoy the images.
